El Calafate is a small town located on the southern shore of lake Argentino, in the southeast region of Santa Cruz province. Quiet streets, low houses and rose gardens surrounded by poplars make the scenery of the picturesque Patagonian village.

Distance 80 kms. From El Calafate, it takes about two and half hour to get the glacier. Visitors stay about 3 hours on the glacier balconies, walking along pathways and admiring it from different specially built view points. Optional: Lunch. Optional: Nautical Safari

This excursion takes you along the North Arm of Lake Argentino, one of the most beautiful areas of the National Park and only accessible by boat. This trip is made on comfortable boats with bar, restrooms, audio, lounge and outdoor space. From Punta Bandera (45 km. from Calafate) you navigate about 2 hours among numerous icebergs -some of them several times the size of the ship- towards Upsala and Spegazzini Glaciers.
